Surely right now is better.

who cares what people think.

we've had 2 underperformed coaches in 10 years - we gave Frawley a fair go. We've given Terry one.

I would feel differently if I think some positives could be salvaged for the remainder of the year, however hes lost the group IMO - and besides a few individual positives I can't see any team positives coming.

Lets get a caretaker in.

Re: Update - TW gone now or later

There's a couple of old ladies who do the gardening and upkeep around my building in Japan....maybe they could have a go!

What's the point of him continuing? Save face in the media? Why bother? We need to get soemthing out of this season and I can't see Wallace being the one to achieve it.

Malthouse is already on record saying he won't come here if we sack Wallace.

How many candidates share that opinion?

Happy to keep Wallace on just because the year is lost, and there is not point scaring away prospects.

Excatly, it would be ridiculous to compromise our search for a replacement coach like that.

Until now I have believed we should see out his contract (or go pretty close) so we don't have to pay a caretaker in addition to paying out his contract.

Now I think the TW cancer is spreading to the new players too fast and we need to get rid of him asap, at any cost.

Sadly, I felt the players looked lost for extended periods in the game. There seemed to be an emphasis on keeping possession at the expense of moving the ball forward. Also, the skill needed to break the lines very often was not rewarded by players making themselves available to receive the ball, leaving the ball carrier with very few options. So losing the ball and having scores kicked against us from the turnover hurts us more often that it should if we were a well drilled team with a game plan that everyone understands and that works.

I've been watching the Tiges play for over 20 years and I cannot recall seeing a less convincing team run out on the field. I don't blame the players, I think the responsibility is with the coaching staff. Lost it for me today when I think headless chooks would have been more convincing running around. Again, I say that the players did seem to be following team instructions, but the team orders weren't very good.

We are like Shelley (Jack Lemmon) in Glengarry Glenross being told by Baldwin "People just wanting to give you thier money, will you take, do you have the balls to take it.".

Richmond were set to have a huge year financially. Fans in the first round were letting the club know that if we deliver then we turn up and fill the clubs coffers.

Other clubs must shake thier heads over the crowds we got for Ben Cousins when he trained with us and that first game turnout. Imagine how television stations would be wanting to get our games if we were successful. We would win the Friday night games and be a ratings hit.

We want to give them our money but they just wont take it. 34K today is all they can expect from this point onwards if they stick with Terry. Might need to do some sums when it comes down to whether to pay him out.

Threats from the coach of Collingwood should keep us further damaging the club by letting Wallace flop about like a dead mullet for the next 16 weeks? I couldn't give a rats what Mick M says. This club is going down the gurgler. Wallace should "voluntarily" resign at the mid-season review.

Wallace has to stay for the rest of the season.

Right now under him, we are a lock for a high draft pick. I really don't want someone coming in now and proceeding to win 8 of our last 10.

Some nice new spin words from the master himself how's this one 'there were blokes who didn't have '“respect for the ball”.? I can't wait until we can read Wallace's post coaching Richmond article on all the reasons why we went wrong and how he had to deal with this and that.....blame Frawely again no doubt, lack of money blah blah blah. You're a muppet Terry, time to leave bud.

I'm with you streak - as much as I want Terry gone right now - to do this may compromise our draft picks that we so desperately need. If we were to start winning now, which normally happens under a caretaker coach, and we got close to the 8 then we have once again glossed over the problems. This is the year we must get some decent picks in the draft - after all, we have nothing to trade the GC with for their early picks.

SHould see the year ot,whilst he his gameplan has more holes than the moon,Miller put this substandard list together.

Hmmm. How many out of the next 5? :P

Tell Wallace now that he will not have the job next year. Take our medicine and see out his contract. Play the blokes we need to make a call on at season's end. Abandon the gameplan for something simple and just let them play. Get a nice draft pick.

The club is caught between a rock and a hard place with Wallace. If we sack him, we face years of media ridicule over another "sacked coach" at Punt Rd. If we don't sack him we face media ridicule over our poor performance for the rest of the year. In other words, we're "damned if we do and damned if we don't".

March has spoken several times of the mid-year review. If we wait until then before we act, we can remove him in a controlled way with a caretaker ready to step in for the rest of the year. If we give a caretaker coach a chance to recover something from this year, we have to be wary of falling into the same trap that we did with Gieschen, i.e. not re-appoint a caretaker over a few wins.

I wouldn't be worried about scaring off potential coaches if we sack him before the end of his contract. We've already done that. I think any new coach would or should know what he's taking on and has to deal with it. Those that are worried about taking us on need not apply.

We have to do something about Wallace before the end of the year as it's hurting the club, the players and the supporters too much to keep him on. Even a simple statement from the club stating that Wallace will not coach next year would be a positive outcome and may force him to resign. We just can't go on with such insipid efforts from the players who appear to have little or no respect for the coach.

Yesterday's game was one of the worst that I can remember in my 47 years of watching us. I'm glad I don't have to go next week and that we don't have Foxtel.
