Sorry guys,
I'm having a rest this week by the beach in Qld, so I'm running in low gear.

Looks like they're running a bit slow down at the Football Vic / Prowess website.
Not to worry.

Some real talent in this squad this year. I know one young kid who is playing - Shaun Higgins - 180cm midfielder who is ball magnet. Has had a terrible run of injuries over past few years, but when fit is a gun (40 possies in Round 3) who goes hard and has great skills and determination. Hope RFC recruiting staff have him on their watch list. Would be great to see him make the big time.Is a mad Cats man, but sure he would soon warm to the bigger cat variety!
Have heard that youngsters in Danny Stanley (starring across half back) and Marcus Crook (super cricketer also highly talented at footy) are worth a look too.

Note: I'm calling Adam Prior the Moneyball Man for those who have read the novel Moneyball by Michael Lewis. Adam Prior seems to me one of the best performed players in the Victorian U18s but will probably be overlooked in the Draft because the Scouts in AFL football dont believe that Prior has the look to play AFL football. This is the major premis of Moneyball. To find the best players that other clubs are not looking at.
For those that remember, Adam also dominated the comp last year but was considered too slow.

Seems the same with "Little" Ricky Delphine. Easily a superior ball magnet than his peers, but will probably be overlooked because he is considered too small for AFL footy. (Remember Libba.)
