vlad and co please change the rules

Dear Loyal AFL Supporters,
We appreciate your interest in our game, and thank you in advance for buying your 2008 membership. We also highly recommend you watch channel 7 to see the world's greatest game at 8:30pm kind of live each Friday night.

With regards to your concerns, we appreciate these may be concerns for you, but that is because you lack the facts and proper understanding of our great game. There is no such thing as tanking, never has been, and I assure you that in every game every team is trying to win. Any inference of tanking is ignorant, and is highlights why we have a commission to run our game instead of allowing people to do it.

Again we encourage you to buy your membership, and look at the new away jersey for your beloved [insert club mascot here]. They are snazy and all the cool kids are wearing them!

Best Regards,
Vlad

PS - never ring here again!

Please change it immediately after the 2008 draft. ;)

I like this plan.

Give the first five picks to a different team each year, starting with Richmond first, due to their continued crapness over a very long time. Carlton can go second, etc etc until West Coast get the first five picks in 16 years time, they should be prime by then.

Oh, and Kevin Sheehan gets to pick the five players.

It is a bit out there and would be drastic, but free agency could be given to kids and just let the salary cap keep the competition even. That way teams that need to rebuild can spend the money on picking up the kids they want and established teams can focus their money on keeping their team together. Once contracted then the standard trading and agency rules could apply. :)

I always liked a lottery system where out of the bottom 8 sides teams that finished positions 9 - 12 get 1 entry each into the lottery, teams 13 - 14 get 2 entries each and teams 15 and 16 get 3 or 4 entries each. Bottom sides still are more likely to get the number 1 picks but it is not a given.

As Demetriwho is not prepared to change the priority pick. I can only see us winning 3 or less games in 2008 so we can get a priority pick. :asleep :asleep :asleep

What they need to do is leave it alone til at least next year when we get pick 1 & 2.

Thats not the AFL way, we will get shafted again!

Under the old system we would get the #1 pick, but now when we need it, we won't get it, Next year we will qualify under the current system, but again, they will change it, and we will miss out again......now thats the AFL way!!

Dear Loyal AFL Supporter,
Why are you still bothering me? Why are you not out buying the special edition of the AFL Record with the wonderful lead article "AFL, life has never been better"?

I have serious business to do, such as reminding everyone the AFL has no drug problem and that Aka talking about the drug problem is the exact opposite of what an open drug policy wants. No go away and buy an AFL membership.

PS - Adrian Anderson thinks you are cute, and wants to know if you are interested in meeting at the craft fair at the Preston Seniors Centre this weekend

Where's the Preston Seniors Centre? I'll go let Adrian's tires down then hang around laughing when he has to call his good buddy Vlad to help him with the jack...

Demetriou on Tuesday evening: "Please go back through the records and tell me if anyone who's got a priority pick has won a flag in the last few years."

Chris Judd?
