Havent voted as cant find the voting button, dont know if closed but young Andy is 27% out in front...

Will try again and if i can i will add yet another vote for the young fella.

Nathan Buckley wrote a very lovely article in the HUN about who he thinks will win the Rising Star...surprise surprise, he picked Heath Shaw. Why do people write articles like this when its obvious WHO they will choose to win...and, even further, who they are EXPECTED to choose? Honestly, why bother?

Also, he thought Shaw's main competition was from Raines...

yes, I have skimmed the article. Not bad.

He had to opt for either Shaw or Thomas. He just had to. He'd probably have been punched in the head by mcGuire while malthouse held his arms if he had have 'crossed the floor' and voted against the party

The fact he brought raines in as second probably seals the award for our raines

I think Shaw wins it, but not because he deserves too. The maggots have ANOTHER Friday night game this week followed by the Carlton game. I think Rainesy is going to suffer from lack of exposure. I wouldn't be surprised if Headie runs with a 30 minute highlights package on the Footy show as well.................for the next 3 weeks. ::)

Pearce played an absolute beauty today....23possys (12 cont) ....as for Shaw - hahaha he has had 6 possys so far against the blues.....surely its out of Raines and Pearce....i have a feeling Pearce will take it home.

Shaw just kicked a goal. If Rainesy dosent win it i would like Pearce to win.

Well Raines has had a great year, Pearce has been good too especially 2nd half of year & as much as i
hate to say it collingwood's Heath Shaw has been brilliant as well. It's gonna be a tough call on who gets the NAB award.

Go Rainesy!

Go Rainesy!

Definitely one of those years where at least three could be worthy winners (even if one of them is from Scumwood).

Win it or not, Rainesy has had a sensational season and let's just hope he goes from strength to strength in the next few seasons. It would be great to see him develop into a future captain and lead the club through another golden decade.

And I'd like to see us top off the season with a nomination for Cam as well, not that I'm being greedy or anything... ;)

Is KB still on the panel, if so Shaw will be missing one vote. :rofl

Carlton did the right thing by Rainesy today and kept Shaw quiet, however Pearce was bloody good. I think Murphy is still favourite with the bookies though. Personally I don't know that Murphy can win as most of the judges are likely to penalise him a couple of places for missing games (votes are 5-4-3-2-1 from 9 judges).

Interestingly, 11 of the 13 winners have been nominated by Round 8 (the exceptions are Cousins R12 and Koschitzke R14). That encompasses the favourites Raines, Pearce, Shaw & Murphy plus Bartram, Rischitelli, Polo & Thomas.
