I think we'll win by 25-49.  Back on our home ground with supporters desperately urging the team on I can't fathom us not singing our song after the game.

As for memories in regard to Brisbane I can't think of too many but would like my memory jogged by reading others' recollections.  Fitzroy's last game in melbourne sticks in my mind.  I think it's the only time I've ever had a tear in my eye at the footy other than when Knighter was shafted.

My favourite Brisbane memories are having a good winning record when I've attended games on their dung hill, and also the good friends I met up there by chance.  They happened to be sitting next to me wearing their PRE windcheater.

As the Coodas said Deep in Their Hearts Everyone Barracks for Fitzroy I think I had a soft spot for them, and I don't find Brisbane or their supporters, very confronting either.

I actually think we'll win this week, probably by a reasonable margin. The Lions away from the Gabba are a different team. They rarely play at the G either. They have no ruck division. Their defence is flimsy. If we keep one or both of Brown and Bradshaw quiet (expect Lukey to line up on Brown and Moore on Bradshaw like at Carrara in pre-season), they won't kick enough goals. Jacko will shut down Black. We'll then have too much control over the clearances with Foley, Tuck and Cogs.

While I'm not advocating winning at all costs for the remainder of the season, I do think we match up well against the Lions and we actually will find it pretty easy to win in Melbourne.

In terms of recent memories, you don't really have to go much further back than last season at the Telstra Dome. Richmond's game of the year for mine. Tambling setting up Bowden for the winning crunch goal was INTENSE.

Agree, last year at the Dome. That rocket pass from Bling. The"captains" type goal Joel scored. But more importantly it was the look on the faces of the boys when the siren went. There was no relief, but more a determination that seemed to say they had stepped up a level in their self-belief.

I'm worried this may be our "wheels fall off the cart" game, like that Adelaide disaster under Walls.

Hope not, will be there (of course :)), but..... :-\

We have had a few good games against the Lions in recent years.

The year Brown broke his leg he kicked the winning goal against them at the GABBA, then the year after (I think) I was fortunate to be at the GABBA to see us win. Then last year's win at the Dome was great...have watched the replay of the last quarter about 50 times I reckon!

I think our last two 100 point wins were against Fitzroy (1996 and 1988 in round 22 when Hogg kicked 9).

Also remember the game against Fitzroy when we made the 8 in 1995. They were 4 goals up at 3/4 time and we finished over the top of them, thanks largely to a dubious 50 metre penalty that allowed Knights to kick the winning goal. Also, the only time I ever saw Richmond win at both Victoria Park and the Western Oval were aginst Fitzroy.

Yeah that was the clear winner for me. Still have it recorded on MyStar and give it the occasional run.

Others :
* *smile* kicking six goals and me thinking our next key forward had arrived.
* Strawbs O'Dwyer kicking the ball into the Punt Rd race after the half time siren. Sadly he was taking a set shot 25m out from goal directly in front .
* Greg Tivendale kicking the first goal of the 2001 Prelim Final - sadly the rest went downhill fast.
* Doug Hawkins (Roys days) doing his nut over a dud 50m penalty that gave us a comeback win.

By the way, I think we'll get done - by a small margin.

LOL...can't say I remember that but not beyond belief.

Not really a great memory from a Tiges point of view, but one of my family favourites. I think it was 1997 at the Gabba and Gilbert McAdam tore us to shreads as we got smashed.
I am from a mad Tiger family and was 19 at the time, taking my new girlfriend to her first game. After a Tiger goal my mum jumps up to cheer and elbows the new Mrs in the face, great start to the relationship.
Even better was my dads call about Jason Akermanis, who must have had a bad day. I played teal cup and QAFL with Jason, so we had seen plenty of him. After this game my old man said the words that he regrets to this day. " Aker will never play AFL again".
I am no longer with the girl, but we are great mates, everytime we catch up my old man still cops it over his terrible call.

Early 90's last round of the season and Geoff Raines drops the Flea.

The remainder of the game he's got the General running around trying to even the score. As mobile as the General was for a big guy, he wasn't quite mobile enough to catch Stainsy!

Tambling's game last year against the Lions was in my mind clearly his best for Richmond.

Been to a couple recently at the Dome.

Patrick Bowden having 30 touches and 25 marks till half-time in a game we won by 80 odd.

Also the draw. The worst game I have ever seen in my life.

its been mentioned,
last year. kel moore to jordy to white to tambling to joel. goal. game over.
what a collection of matchwinners! and some reckon they are all useless (except kel- he was thought to be hopeless, not any more).
