What is his attitude towards the next two drafts?

Is is clear that our club needs to find several quality tall players.

Many of the losses this year can be slated back to structural advantages that we concede to the opposition before the game starts. We will be thrashed in the ruck- Pattison will toil manfully against a pair of quality ruckmen each week but he will lower his colours. Simmonds' season is a complete write-off. He may get his pace back next year if he makes a full recovery from his ankle injury or he may not. Knobel cannot be relied upon for anything. In any case, finding quality support in this area should be a priority.

Each week our opponents load up their forward line with talls. Why wouldn't they? We have no strategy for dealing with ruckmen playing out of the goal-square-it is easy goals. There is our second priority.

We will move at least four or five talls on for next season. They must be replaced. We are at least one tall player down on where our list should be.

Richo won't be around forever.

What do you want from the next draft/trade period, Terry? If the answer is not ruckmen and key talls then there is a serious problem.

Perhaps this can be the subject at the next Tuesday with Terry?
we are at least 4 talls short on the list. this will only get worse as deadwood is cleaned out. ive said this before by the end of 2009 and certainly by 2011we may only have schulz mcguane pattison hughes polak riewoldt simmons and thursfield left on the list of current talls.. you could make a case for the first 3 mentioned not being there as well.that would leave just 5 talls and one of them would be 31 33. even if all 8 players named are there by the end of 09 this still means we need to draft at least 8 talls over the next 2 drafts and hope they all make it. in reality we will have to probably turn over as a minimum 12 talls by 2011. most certainly we are now going to have to look for recycled tall players to prop us up. it really is diabolical the way the list has been run.

quite clearly we need to take ruckmen and kpp in this draft but i think with pick one or two whatever it turns out to be best player available should be the go.
i also believe 8 or 9 should be delisted traded.we do need to make some space for those recycled talls we are now forced to go out and get.
