PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

What is his attitude towards the next two drafts?

Is is clear that our club needs to find several quality tall players.

Many of the losses this year can be slated back to structural advantages that we concede to the opposition before the game starts. We will be thrashed in the ruck- Pattison will toil manfully against a pair of quality ruckmen each week but he will lower his colours. Simmonds' season is a complete write-off. He may get his pace back next year if he makes a full recovery from his ankle injury or he may not. Knobel cannot be relied upon for anything. In any case, finding quality support in this area should be a priority.

Each week our opponents load up their forward line with talls. Why wouldn't they? We have no strategy for dealing with ruckmen playing out of the goal-square-it is easy goals. There is our second priority.

We will move at least four or five talls on for next season. They must be replaced. We are at least one tall player down on where our list should be.

Richo won't be around forever.

What do you want from the next draft/trade period, Terry? If the answer is not ruckmen and key talls then there is a serious problem.

Perhaps this can be the subject at the next Tuesday with Terry?
