See thats your problem. We are talking about Premierships and you are thinking about wooden spoons.

Nice try, but you have to learn to think about the future rather than dwelling on the past. No wonder you spend so much time in them seedy Bangkok bars drowning your sorrows.

thats hilarious. please tell me what has g miller done that is so good.hes been a constant alright constantly *smile* weak. after 6 yrs of miller we are on the bottom of the heap with alist with so many holes in it you would think someone has taken to it with a shotgun.
millers constant is 13th 16th 12th 9th and 16th.
sheesh he was part of the show that took us to record debt levels it is common knowledge that others have pulled back the debt. but hey miller is god its unfair of all and sundry to take a reasonable view of his achievements now isnt it.

I am starting the official campaign.... "Claw for cpatain, coach and list manager - Coz nobody else can f8cking do the job"

Apparently.

No chance!

Could not organise a chook raffle. Could not put two sentences together to organise a petition.

Not even a halfback flanker. Would not even make a bench warmer or a runner.

Complete DUD :(

Oh well, you've really stitched him up there. I'm sure he's rocking in the foetal position in the corner of a dark room now that he knows you've trapped him in such a legal bind.

They all say stuff like this in November. It's the game. Get used to it.

Superb post Hopper. I was going to suggest Btoz hold his breathe (as opposed to "don't hold your breathe" :hihi).

As to the statement Terry came out with - anyone who has played footy will know that is basic premise for turning up to training - even if you were flogged all the previous season. Youn turn up and train to get better, you recruite better, you plan better, you coach better, you play better. FFS it's footy Btoz, not an election or a beauty contest! Failure builds character in the right people!

I think you are becoming obsessed Claw. The quote you referred to didn't mention Millers name once, but somehow you've managed to drag his name into your response.

Don't get me wrong I think Miller should now be coming under scrutiny, but the poster you jumped on didn't even mention Miller from what I can see.

did he inherit the most pathetic list in the competition who had just "won" the wooden spoon like wallace did when he took over?

You can use that argument in his first year, even his second at a pinch. Not his third.

And you expect me to go to the first round with you next year. You will be barracking for the Blues by the 3rd quarter seeing as you are so obsessed with this wooden spoon thing. You might be able to get a replica at Chatuchak Market if you hurry. ;D ;D

Rest assured gussy I certainly won't be barracking for the Blues.

Won't be going with you either if you keep this :stir up. ;D

Every club gets injuries.
I am sick of these excuses.

True. Every club gets injuries. The question is, how much do they impact on the playing group?

We had three of our best five players out or not yet recovered--Simmonds, Coughlan and Brown. We also had our backup ruckman injured (Knobel), our best tall utility (Ray Hall) out for the season, and it seems that our alternative tall utility (Patrick Bowden) was also affected by injury while playing for Coburg. Finally, our captain played injured for a significant chunk of the season.

Even if we had a decent spread of players across KPP roles and ages, that would have hurt. But those injuries represented a large proportion of a relatively small, mature aged, playing group. It meant the team was carried by kids for much of 2007--exemplified by the heroic efforts of Adam Pattison and Nathan Foley.

It's easy to beat an old drum--if only the club had recruited for the long term in the late 1990s and early 2000s--we would be in a different place. But the insanity of those years is going to take years to put behind us, and in the meantime, a bad run of injuries to our mature aged players will hurt us more than most other teams.

Well said Griff - I agree. With a little luck with injuries and general improvement across the list (which you would expect from a young team like ours) and we could be shooting up the ladder in 08.

here we go again... when will we learn that we seldom make the 8, next year being no exception...

Translation: "Hey, everybody, look at what I said! Pay me some attention."

One has to wonder why pessimists (darksiders, call them what you will) even bother joining a fan forum? It is rather trollish, when you look at it.

What a absolutely ridiculous post and/or outtake on things. Forget Discostu's question as to why you're on the forum, why do you even get out of bed?
