Not sure if this has been covered in another thread, but TW rang into SEN this morning to clarify the position regarding Kane's B & F night speech. He said that it wasn't true that Roach, Rodan and Humm weren't aware of their position with the club, and that they were every much "in the loop" as to what was happening with their careers at Richmond. It was not made public because, from what I can gather, they will be trying to arrange a trade for these guys if at all possible. Reading between the lines, it seems that all 3 were aware that they will either be traded... or delisted if no trade can be arranged.
He also denied reports that Mark Coughlan had been spoken to about returning to WA, presumably as part of a Polak deal. He said that "he wanted to reassure Richmond people that Mark had definitely not been spoken to".
Unfortunately that wasn't so convincing. He failed to then go on to say that Cogs was a required player and wouldn't be going anywhere, as you would have expected him to do. I was left with the feeling that Coughlan may still be a part of a deal to get Polak, it's just that he hasn't been approached about it yet. I'm a Coiughlan fan, so I'm hoping that they will say something stronger on this point soon.
