Wallace's game plan went perfectly today with the side losing by only 70 pts in tricky conditions.

2 loose men in back half most of the day in Polak and Bowden to make sure that the Cats couldnt spank us ast they did last time.

Wonder how TW will spin this one.

Protecting the kids, or protecting his job.

Best players were kids for mine, Foley, Thursfield, Connors, with flashes from Edwards and King tried hard and stuck to his task even tho he was outclassed, outmuscled by Ablett.

Pettifer is a dead set squib and didnt run today when it was not to his advantage - or not going to allow him to get an easy touch, and Bowden and Johnson are shocking and not leaders bumcracks. The sooner these guys are gone the better.

The faster Casserly comes into this side and these duds are given their marching orders once and for all the better.

agree

bowden, johnson, pettifer and newman terrible

kids stood up!

You got the worst 4 right this week.

Laziness for all of those except maybe Johnson, who is just outright struggling.

Bowden should be ashamed at himself.

TW not making a change on S. Johnson is terrible also.

not happy.

I would like to know how many goals each of Newman's opponents have kicked on him this season.

It seems to me that even though he is getting the ball, his opponents always kick a bag. You can't question his courage, but he doesn't play close enough on his opponent and frequently gets out positioned.

Haven't got a real problem with TW'S gameplan today.Got plenty of the ball but our skills let us down.

Not sure Craigy babes a lot of forward movement from the Cats to an open forward line.

My Tw critisism was why did we not push a player up on to the loose Cat at Chb at the centre bounces

It was clear the tigers went defensive to save face from another belting is what i was getting at.

I understand it but there is no merit in it now for mine.

Continue to cut those will stuff all skills and replace them with kids who can hit a target

Improving your skills

A mere 54 less possessions and 22 less tackles. Regardless, getting lots of possessions doesnt necessarily constitute a good gameplan. They are talking on the radio now about some lack of lateral thinking in positional changes during the game. Tend to agree with that. Today;s game was a perfect opportunity to try a few different things.

What happened to playing attacking football like he said we would?

They made their goals look like training drills today. We looked like a joke, they run in numbers and have players that work hard into space.

If we played attacking footy against Geelong they would have won by 150 again. :pullhair

Some people!

Geelong have been playing training drills for most of the season. They have won 5 of the last 7 games by 50 points or more. Pretty impressive actually.

And yet if we hadn't and got belted by over 100 points you would have been the first to lay the boots in.

Could easily have played another two or three in defence. Probably a sensible compromise.
