Just finished lunch listening to Jim Wilson, Sky News AFL reporter. He said that yesterday a significant number of Richmond people got together and basically tapped March on the shoulder over Wallace. They have had enough of being close but not over the line and want change. Wilson, went on to say that when the senior players learned of this, they approached March directly this morning and told him that the players fully supported Wallace. The players basically persuaded March not to sack Wallace today. Wilson, doesn't think this issue is dead and buried as the Board meets tonight and he said there will be some very unhappy people at Richmond right now over the fact that Wallace has been retained.
Does anyone know if TW will still be attending the Board meeting like originally planned to discuss what is happening in the football side of things?
Knowing our club, the Board may well overturn March's decision this morning and still sack Wallace tomorrow. The media hacks would just love that.
