....and we died in the arse in the 3rd quarter against Melbourne, the last quarter against Port, and the last quarter again on the weekend.
The thing that sh!ts me is (and I don't know who to blame here) is that we seem to start wasting time and go back into our shells when we are dominating a game.
We did it on the weekend again....think it was the 2nd quarter...we were 3 goals up and playing better and then one of the backline players hold the ball above his head.....o.k...must be close to the end of the quarter so they want to waste the last 30 seconds and go in 3 goals up at half time.
Well, from that point on...there must have been about 5 minutes left on the clock because Carlton got the next couple of goals and it took a Hughes goal near the siren to give us some sort of small buffer.
We did the same against Port...went all defensive FAR too early...we did it against the Bulldogs (which cost us another win).
Why are we trying to waste time and change the way we are playing when we are on top of the opposition?
The time to do that is when the opposition is making inroads into us...not the otherw ay around.
Like I said, I don't know whether Wallace is telling them to do this or if the players are taking it upon themselves to do that, and if that is the case, they should be dropped for not following instructions.
Hate to say it...but I can see Wallace getting another 3 years during next season...you watch... :-[
