Have to pull you up there, Brad Hardie & John James come to mind.

That he was one of Sheedy's favourites doesn't make him a champion (e.g. Mark Bolton), but no ordinary players have played anywhere near 300 games. It's a bit of a mystery how Justin Peckett has survived for 230-odd.

I agree with Morell. Sure he staged a lot, but you can't dismiss all aspects of his game. A brownlow from a BP? AS Morell said, I don't think Port would have won their flag without him, kicked multiple goals after hard ball gets when pressure cooker games were there to be won, in the prelim and the GF. Just one of those players who produces.

This little tidbit of information has caused The Bear much angst, he simply cannot believe it, cannot accept that one of Richmond’s greatest sides was beaten by some "second grade team" playing in a "second grade competition" (his words). Indeed every time I raise this The Bear goes rather quiet. After this post he will likely try and claim that two 25 minute quarters isn’t long enough to truly gauge the quality of the contest. But surely the great might of the Richmond FC during the 70's would be strong enough to quash any suggestion of equality between the competitions in 5 minutes, let alone over an hour...
