PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

For 25+ years whenever something goes wrong some Tiger supporters crack the *smile* like little children and blame EVERYTHING on the coach.

Terry Wallace IS an outstanding coach - don't let your current emotional state blind you from this.

Like you I am hurt with our efforts tonight, but we need to change this bloody Richmond culture of blaming everything on the coach and just hoping that if we get rid of him everything will somehow magically fall in place.

Terry Wallace is doing what no other coach has done since our last flag. Finally a coach who isn't repeating history.

He has a LONG term goal of sustained success. There is a difference between losing under Frawley and losing under Wallace. Frawley's were the result of trading picks for duds, drafting with no purpose or planning for the future, trying to put everything into "now". Wallace's are the result of drafting kid after kid after kid until we're overloaded with young talent and we are losing because we are young and our seniors aren't good enough to carry them. This is good for the future, not bad (like Frawley's). You need to appreciate and distinguish this difference in why losses are different for you abandon this generation-long bloody Richmond Culture of 'blaming the coach'. Some of you may say a loss is a loss but there is always a reason.

We need to let him carry out his full long-term plans because let's face it, if he can't get us in good shape, who the hell can??

ps. I want this thread to be a fresh light in a dark forum, so keep the mindless coach bashing to pre-2004 threads thank you. :)
There is light at the end of the tunnel, if you have your sights set purely on the wall next to you and attack it, it'll collapse and you'll be trapped again and make no progress forward. TW is good for the club. Keep looking forward. Don't turn away from the light.
