Was that Wallace's fault too?

One win against a side that has absolutely nothing to play for and was basically preserving itself for the finals campaign and we are ready to gloat and claim we are finally THERE!!! Wake up to yourselves, this is a typical RFC performance especially under Wallace. Win the ones that mean nothing, or against sides who aren't switched on we seem to find a win, and when the crunch games are there to be won that would really make a difference we turn to jelly!!!

Go through Wallace's history at Richmond, and everytime we have a must win game he reverts to his sidekicks and so called senior players Brown, Bowden, Hyde, Tivendale etc with terrible results. When we have nothing to lose, he brings in the younger guys and surprise, surprise we play some decent footy and get a win. Only thing to be happy about yesterday was the fact that Connors, Polo etc finally got a game and showed their worth.

Wake up people, it will be another typical finish in which we win the last 3 games and finish 9th because when we had the chance to grab those extra wins to put us into finals contention we failed miserably. All of a sudden we will think our list is better then what it really is and start topping up again. 4 Years at the helm and not one finals appearance is a failure for mine.

Thanks FUD for bringing me back to reality !! Wont go near the water cooler today

just say we beat freo and melbourne

that will be 8 wins from our last 11 games

I think I'LL stick with the bright side for now

but you are right that we still to use the draft and aim to improve our list

Agree.

We can win as many random games as we like, but if we continually fall over in the games that matter, then I won't be satisfied.

I'm happy we won today, sure... But the sour loss from last week is still fresh in my mind and I can't enjoy this win.

I'm always surprised at how short some of our memories are once we get a win on the board.

Bit harsh. We've won 6 out of our last 9 and *if* we win the last two will be 8 out of 11. Hardly short-term memory. Admittedly we havent beaten alot above us but give us a bit of leeway, our average age was 10 months younger per player than Hawthorn and 19 less games in experience (or nearly 1 season) per player. We're on the right path.

Adelaide have been our nemesis for a while now. Very disappointing last week but let's move on hey.

TW's comments after the game said it well: Against Adelaide we lost our structure and the players were playing for themselves. In yesterday's game all the players stuck to the plan and the result was positive. Even, if we had lost yesterday I think TW would have been happy that at least the players executed his plan. The Adelaide loss was horrendous but i think the coach and players have responded well. To us supporters we see a team one week lacking urgency, discipline and skill and the same team minus 2 of its better players (Brown & Foley) come out the next week and play a disciplined, team-oriented style which delivers a win. Which is the real Richmond? As an optimist I'll choose the latter thanks.

I wonder what it must be like for people who can't sit back and truly enjoy a Tigers win like that without looking for the negative. Have we been crap for so long that some people have forgotten how to enjoy a win ? How can you continue to support any sort of club when you can't relish, even for 24 hours, a win no one expected you to win ? I really don't understand it.
