I wonder if Nathan Brown has anything to do with this.

Maybe Wallace is trying to protect his reputation based off his departure from the bulldogs, and getting "Sacked" would be a way to do it. you know....
"I was prepared to hang around until the end, but they frog marched me out".

Maybe others are trying to protect our reputation "we haven't sacked a coach in years".

It's all a bit baffling, but there's more to it than we all think. I'm sure of it.

I know we are not Geelong, but 3 years ago , they went through a similar thing, with their leadership group and coach.

The rest is history. All i am saying here is , it can be done. The players have to believe it !

I disagree. Not because I have any facts to dispiute you but I view being frogmarched probably as more damaging in the long run to his reputation than sticking it out. Say he will be back in the media, and there is no reason to think he won't, long after his gig with Richmond has passed he will be seen as the person who couldn't see out/was forced out of his two senior coaching roles - same thing over time. I think Wallace would desparately like a nice clean end to his coaching career free of any contraversy at all. To my mind the cleanest way to do that would be to coach out the year and do ok in the win/loss stakes from here on in.

I think anything else is a conspiracy theory which is always more complicated than reality. 9 times out of 10 real life is boring, stupid and petty as opposed to a good conspiracy which is exciting, sinister and mysterious. But this is a forum and so who needs boring, stupid and petty. ;D

well it depends which players doesn't it? not everyone on the list is at risj of getting the chop this year.
