Now that the important part of the day is over, Dr Who, just thought I'd share some of the vital stats coming through on the day from both Adelaide & Richmond.
| | Ade | YA | Rich | YA |
| CPs | 108 | 111 | 112 | 108 |
| Ks | 205 | 213 | 196 | 207 |
| HBs | 173 | 160 | 167 | 169 |
| Disps | 378 | 374 | 363 | 376 |
| DE% | 76% | | 73% | |
| Clear | 36 | 32 | 33 | 31 |
| I50s | 47 | 50 | 37 | 50 |
| MI50 | 12 | 12 | 10 | 15 |
| R50s | 28 | | 29 | |
| Tkls | 68 | 68 | 60 | 59 |
| FF | 26 | 23 | 19 | 20 |
| Sc Shts | 28 | 26 | 14 | 27 |
| SS/I50 | 60% | 52% | 38% | 54% |
Just find it interesting that for the most part the two sides matched up pretty well on stats.
Both sides affected by the wet conditions. The Tiges a little more so.
CPs, K, HBs, Disps, Clears, Mks i50, Tkls, all look pretty similar.
Tiges DE% a bit down on Adelaide but not that much different.
Big differences seem to be:
1. Inside 50s - Ade 47 v Rich 37
2. Scoring Shots - Ade 28 v Rich 14
Consequently
3. SS/I50s - Ade 60% v Rich 38%
Although we had as much of the ball as Adelaide, we didn't get it into I50 as often.
And when we did get it I50, we couldn't turn it into a scoring shot as often.
Things to consider:
1. Do we kick the ball long enough? (Would love to see the comparison stats on Long Kicks.)
2. The seemingly greater pressure the Adelaide defenders applied to the Tiger forwards.
Conversely, the Adelaide Scoring shots / I50 in this game exceeded their usual average.
I'm sure everyone has their own slant.
And I'm sure there'll be some who'll take the easy option and just denegrate the stats.
I'm certainly interested to see if anyone else has spotted anything in the stats, here or elsewhere.
