They looked spent midway thru the 3rd qtr. Just no run left. I really feel the trip to perth and the polly incident took a toll. Don't care what anyone says about the win. It was an ugly second half but the character shown by the team was first class. Sure the bombers missed shots but our captain should have nailed 2 easy shots in the last qtr too. We outran the bombers in the first half and the tank was almost empty. Nothing out of jack or cleve and we still got up.

Bottom line is we looked gawn in the 3rd but still won and have beaten the bummers twice this year. Monday at work will be oh so sweet!!!

The boys remain focus thus far. Still trying to execute TW's game plan.
I just felt a few times in the last Q, we should have gone long to the square...You know, like try to bust the game.

The had some tall timber in the backline skills. Mcphee was marking everything. Bombing it in wasn't the best thing to do IMO.

Let me give you an example. Matty White.
We had the momentum...tall defenders can get very nervous when the ball comes out of th middle very quickly after a goal has been scored.
Just thought that kick had to be long.
But, I see your point...particularly our game plan was that all day for those reasons.

Agree. Some poor decisions were made in this regard in the last quarter. All the short kicks resulted in turnovers. When they eventually kicked it long at least the ball got locked in down there.

Interestingly the Bombers came out in the 3rd and chose to kick long. Sometimes it just makes sense to get it in there quickly and at least mix it up a bit to keep the opposition guessing.

true but when it did come loose it rebounded very quickly and they usually scored. Lucas, Lloyd, laycock, hille all on the forward line stretching our backs to the limit.
