Not sure what you're shooting for there Baretta - I would have thought ALL assistants are untried upon their first appointment!

he has a point. We should use tired and tested assistants, like Royal & King

Uncompromising and ruthless professionalism. We have the finances now,we should be targeting A graders now!

Please clarify on Kingy - best or worst football brains in the game?

Gee, let him stay in that fox "war room" for gods sake. No one else wants him in a tactical coaching position in the AFL.

Are you sure about that?

Saints a rabble. Of course if they do well next year (unlikely) they'll be hailed as geniuses for getting rid of Watters. Sort of like what happened at Freo with Harvey and Lyon.

Dermie also said Watters had one of the best 3 football brains he knew. The other two were Rodney Eade and.........
Terry Wallace.

And a great tally of 0 premierships between them! ;D

This was destined to happen. Watters is hopeless. Half as bad as Neeld was with the players.

Just hope they don't steal Chocco as Rob Harvey would be experienced enough by now to take on a coaching role at his old club.

Having a football brain is one thing but being able to have people management skills is another. In coaching you need both.

Unfortunately Mr T Wallace didn't have the second pre-requisite.

SEN reporting that Watters and Pelchen would email each other whilst in the same room, to avoid talking to each other.

Pretty much how every banker in Australia operates. Differing degrees of success though.

Can't say I have ever liked Watters much. Goes back to an incident about 15 years ago when I had occasion to meet him and found him a totally arrogant so and so.
