Watters sacked

Dermie also said Watters had one of the best 3 football brains he knew. The other two were Rodney Eade and.........
Terry Wallace.

I reckon he has got better with age, but the name Dermie and the word brains do not belong in the same suburb let alone sentence.

Reading caro's article, the comment about insecure environments for inexperienced coaches, makes me wonder what was the full extent of craig cameron's contribution over the last 5 years. Secure coach, stable assistants, blair and fj inputs, stable staff, zero controversy. Possible he deserves a bit more credit.

Perhaps Marchy as well. Stability comes from the top.

Btw I think this sacking is a good thing for Watters. They were going to win 6 games next year at best and he would have been sacked anyway. This way he gets out before his reputation is completely destroyed.

Does anyone else think...I am glad this is not us?

I'm thinking...........it's funny, because it's not us. Who would have thought a few short years ago when *smile* like this happened we would be mentioned. We've had Brisbane, saints, carlscum, bummers, and a few others go through turmoil. We have stability...long may it last :)

I didn't bag the club, but I was keen on Pelchen given his reputation at the time.
Who says Dermie has it right? Maybe he's taken aim at Pelchen and the saints in retribution for sacking his mate. :don't know
In todays HS a few articles didn't paint Watters in the best light. It doesn't seem too happy a club atm. Bit of disarray to say the least.

No doubt!

Over the last couple of years, I've had the opportunity to ask various employees who the key to the cultural change at Richmond belonged to.

Repeatedly, two names kept recurring - Craig Cameron & Damien Hardwick

Where did derm and waters hook up? Not like they played together.
1994 @ Sydney, don't you remember? It was a great 7 game partnership.....

Interesting, thanks for sharing

Apparently Williams is hot favorite to get the the job.
We have one good year and already we have been cleaned out.
What will happen if we actually win a final, they will take our boot studder and green keeper

It would be sad to losse mark but it just shows that we are doing something right been many years since our people have been poached id have full faith in our footy deparment to find a suitable repkacement ie voss harvey even gerald fitzgerald

How can we get Robert Harvey the job at the aints?

Do we need to inundate their club with phone calls and emails pretending to be aints supporters demanding they give banger the job or we won't rejoin as members?

Thats the thing, would Chocco be interested in a succession plan. 2 years and Harvey takes over? He might not go at it.

I have a feeling Chocco doesn't like the term "succession plan".

Might be interesting if Chocco n the Pelican get back together at St Kiddingme. Poor bastards currently in charge might have no idea what they are in for n very rapidly find themselves shuffled sideways into irrelevance. Choc n Pelican had a hell of a lot of control n influence in their heyday at Port.
New Pres, new CEO might get tag teamed out of control by a couple of old stagers.
