Chocco stays a Tiger

th

His 5 year demand would have scared them on many fronts;
1. It is a very long time for a coach of his age
2. It is a lot of money on the block if things go pear shaped
3. It signals that Chocco thinks the next 2-3 years will be ordinary as they rebuild and say goodbye to Nick, Lenny etc..

Plus the negative reports that GWS would have of him would add to the nervousness

When Chocco turned up at training it was a pretty clear sign he want going anywhere

I wouldn't have thought that was the case at all. If you are currently employed you still go to work until you resign to take up your new job.

God help the next coach of St Kilda who taps Nick, Lenny and Leigh on the shoulder and says " Time's up, your not part of my plans going forward "

If I was Benny and I knew Chocco was the favorite, I'd ask him to take some gardening leave. A bit like serving out notice in the corporate world. If you are going to a competitor then you normally sit at home and serve out your notice period, which is great when it's 3 months.

I grabbed a quick photo today of the St Kilda board rolling up to Seaford to discuss the coaching appointment.

That's just offensive......to Fozzie!

Caroline Wilson reporting in The Age that the Saints will name Alan Richardson as their coach tomorrow.

Been negotiating with his manager for the past 2 weeks apparently.

The age says the deal is done.

Huzzah for the Saints for overlooking a proven premiership coach for an untested assistant!

All newspapers are saying Richardson will be announced in the next 2 days.

:clap

Yes fellow tigers the wheel IS turning, they say you make you own luck, well Brendan Gale, Dimma and Gary March have been making it by the truckload!

If thats teh case Richardons looks even worse. Good for us though so I'm not complaining.

Reported on summer 360 that Choco didn't interview well. It must have been the rohypnol Benny slipped into his coffee on the morning of his interview.

Yeah because a bloke who has coached a flag and took a team to a GF when they had no right to be there is judged on an interview???? Everyone knows what he brings to the table and if the saints are too stupid to judge a coach on a q&a and not on his record well then they are more *smile* than we thought.

But a great win for us, Choco is so vital to the development of the list.
