Wayne Campbell on SEN

God let's hope it's not at Richmond.

The last thing we need is Wayne teaching our kids to kick the ball almost straight up in the air when under pressure.

Just like a lot of coaches, it's do as I say, not as I do. There's been a lot of coaches who've had minimal talent and been able to get the most out of their players. You don't necessarily have had to been the greatest at all skills to be able to coach them.

I really admire WC. He got the most out of himself as far as his AFL career went.

He'd be a good assistant coach for mine, though he'd probably want to get out of Tigerland to develop himself.

I heard about half an hour of the interview.

He was asked about the St. Kilda job, he thinks Longmire is the best bet but thinks Chris Bond is ready to go as well.

They spoke about his impression of coaching in other sports he saw while he was in the US.

Doran asked him if he was going back to Punt Road next year, he said he'd sat down with TW this week and both had realised it would be better for WC to go elsewhere to get a different point of view on the game, see how things are done differently elsewhere.

Cambo is intelligent and will likely make a great coach if he is motivated to do so.

I heard bits and pieces, said he was walking dogs partime in NY for a job to stay fit.

Got to meet Cate Blanchet and she said she new who he was, Benny Gale spilled the to MarkDoran, Wayne was tring to play it down.

Agree. However, one casts ones mind back to T Wallace, his kicking would have got him in the Australian team, consistently short of a length with a lot of movement off the seam.

TW is a smart man.....

Wayno, television is waiting for you - talk to Ch 7

Yep, made for that gig as a special comments guy - always a little understated - yet insightful.

In the Age today, mentioned in an article that Wayne and Rodney Eade have spoken about a possible role as a development coach next season. He is the only candidate for the role.
Sounds like a really good move, hope it happens for him.

Did anyone hear him on SEN? I only just caught him saying goodbye and something about a coaching job
We've got our full quota of coaches. He should get a job as an assisstant without too many problems.
