Our midfield was progressing well towards the end of 2008...so what happens...the biggest "receiver" of all time in Campbell comes back to the Club in 2009 and immediately our midfield of Foley, Cotchin, Tambling, Tuck, Deledio and to a lesser extent Edwards and White have all had below average seasons.
He couldn't get the hard ball when he was playing...and now our midfield are playing like he played...with the exception of Jackson, Foley and Cousins who don't shirk a contest.

So disappointing...I recall writing a thread about this pre season fearing his return to the Club...I just scoff at supporters wanting Campbell as our senior coach...what a joke ::) :rofl ::)

White Tuck and Edwards are average footballers in fact i dont rate White, and Edwards has a lot of improvement to do, he has the brains but not the skills at this point - Cambo isnt the reason they have struggled.

Deledio only runs one way as does Tambling, and Foley runs hard but butchers it by foot.

This club needs some serious quality to join the chimp and cuz in the middle in 2010.
 
I think he should have stayed away fullstop.

I sure as heck hope he doesn't get the job next year.

He will put us further behind than Frawley and Wallace.

was never a huge fan of campbell, thought he held the club to ransom and was a softcock on the field. surely he can add something, somewhere, to the club. maybe he can work with the pettifers, machmahons and other softies we got and teach them how to be effective whilst still being soft ;D
 
The only peeople wanting Campbell as our coach are the media and Tony Free. If he winds up coaching us it's because every other candidate has said thanks but no thanks.
