PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Firstly, I would like to thank Wayne for his efforts throughout the year in providing his services to the RFC and being the official runner on game days. After hearing at the start of the year that he was going to be our runner I was very happy to have an individual with his honours at our club who could be an asset providing valuable assistance to our playing group.

Wayne came to our club a tad 'top heavy' and on may occasions throughout the year made many of our supporters, and the opposition supporters, crack a few jokes about Wayne's massive tool shed.

My advice to TW, who likes to measure his teams performance by using performance indicators, is to look for a much fiter runner for season 2007. From my observations throughout the year, I reckon opposition runners have delivered twice as many messages than what Wayne has done for our club.

If TW wants to move forward then this is one area that seriously needs attention. Afterall, we all know the game is getting faster, so therfore the messages would be on the increase from the coaches box, so therefore we need quicker delivery of messages to our players.

Wayne should not to be blamed for any of our pathetic performances throughout the year, and if he wants to carry that extra bit of weight is his perogative, but if TW is serious about his business then he should get a quicker & fiter runner for 2007 and beyond.
