We can't afford to have people that can't kick or have too many clangers........

We had and still have players that have stop our team going up the ladder because they can't kick small to mid range passes while on the run or from just standing still. If they are are accurate then it's normally to slow a pass which hinders our player receiving the ball than helping. You'd might as well kick it over the boundary (and we do that as well!!!!!)
And talking about run.....
Why don't we have enough players that are ready to run off their player to make space around the ground for fast plays???

Doesn't it bug you cause it really bugs me!!!!

When a play goes wrong who is to blame?? the coach?? Recruiters yes but mainly it's the players on the field....
Hall has too many clangers....
Tiv too
Rodan was a clangers man....
Chaff was too
Kellaway even though I loved all his other work couldn't kick even though he was getting the ball alot.....

We shouldn't recruit any more he "might" be OK players...
Even though they're big, can Polak, Thorton, etc kick? Can they run?? I hope so.....

Please give your opinion.....

They are either leaving or being let go by other clubs.............really, whadder you reckon?

It's more a question of whether you increase the overall list quality (you'll probably use 30-32 in a given season) by taking one or more of them over who you a losing. Then you compare that to what you perceive the potential is for some raw-boned young kid from the U18's comp. Gradual list improvement!

Thank goodness for the equanimity of Terry Wallace in the past two years.

Thornton very good in both areas. Polak average and rarely runs with the ball.
