Was looking at the NAB Cup record tonight-

An interesting fact-on our list we have 20 footballers 21 years or under(out of 44 on the list)-which is second to no one -even Hawthorn has less than this(Sydneyand Brisbane dont count as they are allowed to run 9 rookies-which scewes their numbers relative to others)
Compare this to the so called power teams (Saints /Cats)who were cellar dwellers 5-6 years ago-they have half of our numbers 21 years or under-their rebuilding is now at its climax as their youngsters have matured. All this just highlights the cycling nature of football teams under draft and salary cap restrictions.
So to all the doomsdayers out their-get a grip-we are starting our rebuilding-there is along way to go!!

Question-looking at the NAB record-Western Bulldogs are running 4 veterans this year-how does this work??
I thought there was a limit of two??

Agreed. I am surprisingly calm for having just witnessed the first defeat of the season. At the risk of being called a feral or of having my head in the sand, there were enough positives on Saturday for me to feel quite happy.

Would have been nice to win, now we have to wait another month before we can see the tiges on the telly again. Unfortuntlely I will not be travelling to Shepparton. (Does Fox Footy televise the Regional Challenge?).
