we need more from lids

The only issue if there is one is his defensive side of things.Needs to be just as eager to put pressure on an opponent as he is when he has the ball.

Only thing im worried about with this kid is him developing OP...... played a lot of senior footy last year and could take its toll.... heard a rumour that he has some groin problems ATM.

Lids is developing well. :clap

Would like to know his % of contested possessions versus uncontested when compared to his debut year.

My perception, is that he is getting more development as an inside player, and getting less fly-by possies.

Did appear to be carrying a leg injury when playing in WA, possible medial/knee twinge which is restricting his sideways steps & spinning moves.

Agree RJ
Lids is getting close to 18 quality possies a game is in his 2nd year(lot of good players have had 2nd year blues)getting a lot more attention and genrally playin just over 3/4s a game.Yes it would be great if Lids was a match winner right now but FFS he is 19 and doing as good as any 19 year old has before him, gezz some people :frustration

2005 he averaged 15.4 touches for 2.4 contested, this year 17.3 for 1.4.

Thanks Discoball.

Perhaps struggling with the extra 6 kilo's as well ?

No worries Darth.

I think it's too early in the season to judge either way. One good game (5 or 6 CP's) changes his average dramtically at this stage.

i can't believe the ferals are having a go at our franchise player. the above stats tell it all if you ask me. and like last year, lids will get better as the year progresses. he'll be a brownlow medalist before the decade is out.
