I hope so as the AFLPA should be pushing for the smallest reduction in list size possible.
In any case, their Pres was otherwise engaged standing around doing very little on Saturday Night.
Oh, and we need Broad to stay, he is structurally important, you could see when he returned to the team that our back line just clicked better.

They were talking about this On The Couch, Lyon brought it up.
AFLPA want a 5% reduction (I think he was talking TPP) and AFL wants 20% to ensure no debt within 8 years.
Even at 20%, I assume that doesn't come fully off the list size, but 20% would reduce to 36. I would think 5% wouldn't change list sizes at all.
They need some sort of conclusion before trade period starts.
Lyon suggested to meet in the middle which seems fair, at $13m TPP per club, thats total TPP of $234m so a 10% saving is $23.4m. Having looked through the AFL's booked, they should be able to match this easily, will be interesting to see what they have trimmed this year as a % of revenue.
At 10%, maybe they give teams the choice of how many they want on their list, between 40 and 42 and allow clubs to make those decisions as to whether they fill the other 2 list spots or provide more of it to their current players. The clubs near the bottom would most likely have bigger list sizes then to have more potential on their lists.
