Has played 9 games the last 3 seasons, has had a few injuries. Probably lucky that he was contracted for 2020.

I didn't buy into the hype around him in 2016. For mine is a bit better than Menadue was, but he really needs to break into the seniors this year on merit.

If not, we should play him against the weaker teams in the hope they chase him come trade week(s)

Think he can be a consistent AFL player.
Probably not at Richmond.

(then again I thought the same of Menadue).

2 big questions - can he step up to the grade? and if so, who does he replace?
we dont know the answer to either question, but he does have the tools and potential to make it.

maybe he gets his chance in the Ellis wing, as he has the versatility to play defensive wing and also to switch forward with the Shai and Rioli show.
Is fast, is tough, is combative, is a goal scorer. I'm hoping he becomes the breakout freak of 2020

Had some good games up forward late in the VFL season last year.
Needs to step it up significantly otherwise it will be his last in the system.

Thought his games late in the season in the VFL were poor. Was going 3/4s without being seen. Was better earlier in the season. For me he's not a forward. Would be soundly beaten at AF level/ A guy with his sort of pace needs to be on the wing Isaac Smith style but he's just not good enough for that role and too man y have mved ahead of him for a back flanker role.

It’s make or break for him in 2020 but with 17 games in 4 seasons I reckon history is against him.

Have we played him out of postion?
Try him on the wing or forward.
He was a goal kicker as a junior.
Markov isnt Menadue, he is stronger in the contest.
I reckon he will be ok. If he can stay on the park.

Markov is a good player - only issue is (and it's a great one to have) we've got arguably the best list in 35 or so years. It's probably even stronger than the 1980 and 1982 squads that I remember as a kid.

Apparently did well as a forward in the VFL.

Apparently no, last few games were poor. Was named in the bests twice all season.

Here's his 2019 stats. If that was his output at VFL level in a top side (where ball comes down a lot) then really what would his output be at AFL level? Decide for yourself. Really I think if he wasn't contracted for 2020 he probably would have been out the door before Menadue.

I'm tipping it wont be him, there are too many ahead of him across the park.

He is the right size and should be reaching his peak fitness wise. Will be 24 in May next year.

All is within his power if he remains injury free

I like everything about him except for his decision making.

Tends to be a deer in headlights a bit too much for me.

If he could only get that right he will be a star!

Potential Star??
That’s a fair reach. Horrible hands.

Tad on the harsh side, dead man walking, for a bloke who's still got 2020 in front of him. Reckon you're spot on about his hands though, got a serious problem of double grabbing n rushing most of what he does n it's probably the issue that'll cost him any chance of locking up a senior slot.
