Can’t fault the rationale of the pick, we need forwards. However, at 191cm and 80kg he’s a medium forward and medium forwards have just about the shortest shelf-life of any position on the ground. He needs to be both excellent in the air and at ground level, have good pace off the mark as well as the ability to cover lots of kms.

It won’t be easy but I wish him all the best.

Interesting that Caddy retires and we replace him instantly with Bauer. Cumberland is medium and close to selection too. Parker is about this height. but struggles at AFL Soldo was tried up fwd but wasn't great and Lynch and Balta is back after the bye.

Turns 20 on Saturday, will fly to Melb with his Mum tonight/tomorrow. Looking forward to see him play. Give him number 24.....it's time.

You never know but very unlikely I would of thought. Probably needs to learn our system of play and gets some runs on the board at VFL level first.

This kid is about to get the very best education as a mobile forward he could ever ask for with JR8 teaching him.
