Welcome to Tigerland Jack, Shane, Daniel , Carl and Andrew

This is cool. We have Ashley scouting for us out west and Jade prepping our No. 1 Pick.

With Jade already having made a connection, and being his forward coach - it will feel like home to the kid.

I've got this ten year player feeling. Really like the write up on Edwards and Conner (yep they try to say nice things about all the kids, still)

Great draft result. We look like having the "something old", "something new", "something borrowed" but damned if I can work out what the "something blue" thing is.

Welcome to all our new boys.

Let's hope our crop of young cubs can turn this club into the power we were in the 60's and 70's.

Somehow the kids we have are different to years gone by, GM, FJ and TW are slowly turning our list into one that can do the job.
With a bit of luck injurywise, the Richmond Football Club is going places.

GO TIGERS!!!!!!!

Gotta feeling you will be feeling a little blue come PSD when we pick up Kant Kicksley :hihi

Question-

Is there any injury concerns with any of our draftees?

Is any of them recovering from an operation in the post season?

I was reading an article on Claremont a while back & remember reading about this kid playing against the men. It was about Peterson & how they threw him into the ruck against M.Seaby & actually beat him on each occassion, which was even more amazing given the fact he was giving away 17cm at the time. So he sounds like another lively type, it gives me some hope of light at the end of the tunnel with our recruiting over the last few seasons.

God what a change we are now starting to see at Richmond. Decent picks, valued trading, and more importantly a bit of nouse being shown at the trade/selection table. Sure it was a gamble to a degree, but it appears to have paid off. Last years did as well given that we managed to pick up Hughes and Casserly who most thought would be gone. Hope they prove their worth. :clap

The name 'Jack' is a good omen - our most popular premiership players' name (Dyer, Titus, Baggott, Scott, Twyford, Broadstock, Anderson). Not a common name these days; the last of the 40 Jacks to represent Richmond was Jack Dyer junior in 1960.

Of the other names, we've had 5 Andrews, 2 Daniels + 3 Dans, 3 Shanes and 1 Carl.

Do you know which name we've had the most of Lee? Matthew would be up there for modern ones.

As for the others who can think of them all.

Sure is ToO...have a look:

4. Daniel Connors – Bendigo
Quick inside midfielder, courageous and outstanding disposal. Has the ability to get the hard ball at stoppages as well as receive possession on the outside while using his pace to break the lines. Could also develop into a floating half back flanker, but has more upside as an inside midfielder. Strong overhead and a strong-bodied player. Tackling is only question mark but will most likely go between pick 10 and 20.

Perfect. :)
i had that old dragon mrs claws ring me at work as soon as found out our picks. have to admit i danced a jig when she mentioned him at 58 would have been over the moon if allen lasted to 60.

Am wrapped at Edwards getting picked up by us. He is a bit of a freak from what I ahve seen of him, does some special things and reads the play extremely well. Am wrapped with getting him. Dont know as much about the other boys but everyone seems pleased.

Some good picks from what we saw on Tuesday night, welcome to the club boys and good luck. Hopefully a few of them are history making names in our next premiership.
