Petracca is the only player in the top 40 disposal winners for the season who have kicked more goals (1 more)
Laird is the only player in the top 20 disposals who has laid more tackles.
Serong is the only player in the top 10 disposals who has more clearances.
he is 4th in the league for centre clearances.
he is =5th out of midfielders for score involvements- =with Rozee (and Nick Daicos)

He is a star- if we were winning games he would be in Brownlow contention, and should be a shoe in for AA, if he keeps going.

Although the Taranto and Hopper trades were split into two individual trades, if you look at the two trades combined you have (assuming the traded 2023 1st round is pick 5) :

Out pick 5 2023 + 2022 picks 12, 19, 37

A top 10 pick plus another first round plus two second round picks

Gained Hopper and Taranto plus picks 53 and 63 (which ended up being Smith and Green)

Hopper was pick 7 in 2015 and Taranto pick 2 in 2016

All reasonable trading results for both Richmond and GWS

Especially if getting both of them is the "friend" power to get Himmelberg as a FA

We reamed them with the Deledio trade back in 2016 (future first and future 3rd). Ended up splitting that future first (pick 15), sending it to Brisbane for picks 20 and 25 (CCJ and Balta). CCJ obviously gone now but a washed up Deledio for Balta is a big win. Also got pick 19 for CCJ, which helped us gain Taranto. We will cop a hit if we lose a top 5 pick for Hopper, but I’m still happy overall with our 2022 trade period. Taranto killing it and Hopper was playing good footy before his injury too. Headline acts in our midfield for the next half a dozen years

The group I was with figured that with 30+ possies and 4 goals instead of just moving up one rank he could move up 2 and is now the 147th best player in the league....

Top 150 means 8th best player on average with 18 teams so still a good player and one who is never dropped.

Clearly will be winning our b and f and prior to this weeks performance probably more In The 3rd best player on average. 40-60. Eg at Melbourne he might 5 or 6 (Gawn Petracca Oliver may lever) where as 1 for us. What he did on weekend replicated weekly makes you the best in the league.

IMO Goal posts will be moved by Cornes tonight to be about the trade vs Tim’s overall quality.

It's funny how life works out.
He started off really nervous and panicked, but he couldn't have played any better this season, it's a pity Prestia & Cotchin look finished. It's always the case you bring in to improve in a certain area and everything else falls to shitt.
Will win the B&F by a record margin. Has been our best 3 players in easy 9 games.
Rioli Baker Balta Martin & Bolton way behind him.

His professionalism is super impressive given the shitful season we have had. Did he do his preseason outside the club? Seems only bloke without a niggle.
