Welcome Tyrone Vickery, Jaydyn Post and Tom Hislop

Not sure if it's his size, his hair, the #33 jumper, his ruck/CHF attributes or what but we may hopefully have secured another David Cloke type dominant premiership winning big man at the Tigers. Might bring my old duffle coat back out of mothballs :D

For those interested, there's some good photos of yesterdays post draft function at Maurie's on Yellow and Black (even if they were posted by a complete tosser).

very reassuring to see Hisplop has a band aid across his hand near his knuckles

Welcome Tyrone, Jaydyn and Tom,

First thing you boys need to do is gets your bums down to Punt Road oval, stand out in the middle, have a look at the old grandstand and read the message.

THIS IS TIGERLAND.

If you don't get a tingle down your spine from that, and the thought that you are on a ground and part of a club graced by the likes of Dyer, Titus, Hart, Bartlett, Rowe, Bourke, Wright and hundreds of other men who have worn the jumper with pride, then do us all a favour, turn around, walk straight out the gate and don't come back.

But if you do get that tingel and it inspires you to give your all for the club, no matter what the situation or the outcome, then I and tens of thousands of other Tiger supporters will back you 100%.

Always remember, the choice is yours and yours alone.

i've got to say this has been one of the least exciting drafts in a while. ie. very predictable for us. but we have done extremely well.

dealt with our most immediate need with our first pick. ruck. vickery, all of a sudden i feel comfortable with our ruck stocks

dealt with our second most immediate need. KPP with our second pick. feels like they may have reached a bit for post but he has the height and the athletic ability

and got a slightly more mature player with our third pick. hopefully hislop can pull his head in. cld potentially be a steal

very happy this morning

I like predictable.

Beats the usual nauseating sensation we had for years on Draft Day.

I may repeat myself several times about this and I hope to get over it soon, why would you take a recycled player before a newbie?

Unless someone was falling over themselves to grab Hislop before us, we should have got Hislop with our last pick.

IMO.

FJ said himself after the draft that we had mail two other clubs were keen on Hislop so we wanted to ensure we got him.

I thought it was pretty predictable it woud turn out like that, our number placing worked for us for a change.

I was very dissapointed when we passed on 70 but in hindsight I think it was a good move.

FJ said they want more time to look at the kids, which to me confirms everyone they considered had gone and it was time to look a more considered look at what was left.

I'm happy with that.

All in all I am happy with the draft, not 100% sold on Post but he certainly has some very promising aspects and I said in a perfect world we would get two key positions first two picks and we have, so very happy.

I was a big fan of Hislop in his original draft and happy to get him, we need more hard nosed players at the club and in one offseason we have almost fixed our ruck and inside midfielder deficiencies.

Now we need to address the forward line.

Yep DD, I think I was up wayy too early draft day and had wayy too many cups of coffee before the draft, I got myself a bit excited about it all...
