Great comeback to the Duffus Carey comments. Some people on here bag KB for not coming back to the club but what Carey has done by openly calling for Laidley's head is a disgrace and a real kick in the teeth. I think Carey has been taking lessons from Robert Walls.

In response Laidley said something like; Carey has been doing things like this for years (a swipe at the Stevens saga I reckon). It's water of a duck's back so to speak. Great retort by the Junkyard dog. The guy may not be able to coach but at least he has come out firing. Good luck to him I reckon.

Carey was voicing his opinion on Laidley's coaching & Norths future as a football club, purely as a media representative; If Laidley's reaction (as you make ref.) is to take a swipe at the Steven's saga, then the coach of the Kangaroos has a bigger problem.

I can't see the problem with Laidley's response. Someone has a crack at him, ridiculously unnecessary, so he has a crack back. Good on him.

I think a lot of people, including Laidley, missed the bit where Carey said Laidley should see out his contract, which ends at the end of this season, and be replaced for next year. He didn't say Laidley should be sacked - though Laidley's response suggests that Carey said exactly that.

Agree with that, the truth hurts.
Laidley is under a heap of pressure to keep his job, as his team's odds have shortened for the spoon.
The man they call 'The Bible' because he's hard to read, had better start praying.
