WELL DONE UMPS YOU ONE ANOTHER GAME HOPE YOU ARE ON TOP OF THE LADDR

The lesser placed team always cops a rough ride fromt he umpires. Its blatant. Its so obvious.
Our game wasn't the only one affected by poor umpiring. Melbourne copped some absolute shockers. A player takes a mark, momentum carries him fwd...Essendon player grabs him down around the ankles and is then awarded a holding the ball decision for tackling the player after he took a mark and was trying to stop.

The umpires ruin the game and the more we get the more farcical they become. Just as there are less quality players to go around the 18 teams there are not enough quality umpires going around....infact....I dont think there are any! Between the three of them there is no consistency in rule interpretation. At least in the old days we had some good umpires.

Maybe the umps weren't great last night but we should be more worried about our massive number of turnovers, thats what cost us.

I wonder if Paul72 is feeling a little better today!!

Must have been a BIG night last night.

I'm afraid he has woken up out at sea on a ship, with a 'I LOVE TEH UMPIRES' tattoo.

That's true. No doubt the umps weren't the reason we lost the game of footy. That reason falls fairly and squarely on skills under pressure (and sometimes no pressure).

However, there is no doubt the umps were disgraceful on Saturday night. What I hate is that their decisions have the capacity to turn momentum in the game. The players must feel gutted seeing their tackling go unrewarded and then to see Bling get done for holding the ball after being tackled around the neck. While in a way it probably illustrates mentally fragile players, I don't blame them after some of the decisions on Saturday night.

Sorry wasnt the umps that lost us the game it was indeed our use of the ball. I would like to think it was just the young players feeling under presure from a premier team ,but some of our older players were just as much to blame!

A bit like that Cats supporter photographed in the Age who woke up in Thailand with 'GFC Night Premier' on one shoulder and 'GFC Gay Premiers' on the other

It is about time the club did something about the umpires.

If the free kick count in Adelaide this week is 4 to 16 it may cost us a place in the finals.

To see identical decisions paid to Geelong and overlooked for Richmond is not on. The club continues to let them get away with it. Instead of leaking in house info to the media the directors should be sending a delegation to the AFL re umpiring.
