We'll get better as the year goes on

Big call since we are 0-3 :o

that means we could be conceivably be 19-3 :hihi in a few months time...unlikely, yes, but still a possibility...

but seriously, when we're at such a low ebb at the moment, there really is only one place we can go, and thats up. it just might take a while, though, but it'll happen. although, perhaps he means at the actual years end, after we offload all the players that are slowing us down and take full advantage of the so-called 'super draft'...

Don't worry about the fickle media,we will be alright by years end.

Go you Tiger boys.

We could seriously be 0-11 or 1-10. Have a close look at our draw. Only carlton or perhaps essendon are our only real chance of a win.

If we win on sat night and thats a big IF.... i reckon we could get home over the blues.....shutlz, gas and Moore all available for the match against the Lloydless dons and suddenly we have a backline again.,..... and you never know we could be 3-3 and the bandwagon may start warming up.......you just never know.

call me an idiot but i actially tipped us this week.

no doubt we will get better. we can't get any worse...

why so negative why so pessimistic. Are you the type of bloke who always expects the worst to happen. I jsut dont get it.

i reckon we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves and look at things with sober judgement.
Week 1 - Disaster - got us all panicking
Week 2 - Fair effort, we are a 2-6 goal worse team than StK at the moment
Week 3 - Average, on the road against a top 2 team.

Now's where it really starts. Brisbane is beatable and ordinary, realistically a close loss or a win is what SHOULD happen.
once back in Melb we should start to win games. if not then yes, we've gone backwards.
but did any of us expect us to be in any better a position than where we are at the moment. the real judging should not begin for at least another week or 2

lets wait and see how we go against a fired up carlton after 2 of the longest road trips and no backline

I'm more concerned about the blues than I am about the lions. If we go down to Carlton it's going to be a very hard climb up the ladder.

We will get better, just look at the teams we have had to face so far, West Coast (2nd), St.Kilda (7th) and Western Bulldogs (1st). We will be fine, the hard part of the draw is over. There is no reason why we cant beat Brisbane, Carlton, Essendon and Sydney.

I get the feeling we'll finish off the year well....like the Doggies last year.....

:clap Apart from the Doggies game, if we had been told that we'd get within 2 goals of St Kilda & lose by 8 goals to West Coast over there, we would have expected this. Yes, Round 1 was a disaster, but the other 2 games were to be expected. A win tomorrow night & the pressure valve is released on the players & they start to back themselves again. :thumbsup

Id be very surprised if we were 1-10. Got killed by Bulldogs, who are now on top of the ladder with 3 very convincing wins. Beaten my Eagles at their home who are convincingly in second place with 3 wins. And lost by a couple of goals to St Kilda with a very strong chance of winning until struck by injuries to key defenders leaving us with a crippled bench, and who are 2 and 1.

No reason why we arent a good chance against Brisbane, who we beat there last year, and who themselves havent been travelling well. But even if we dont win that, you cant say that we couldnt get over the top of Carlton, Essendon, Sydney over the next 3 weeks after that, or North in Round 11.

Way too early to be writing the Tigers off, other teams have their issues too

Cheers
