We're back in TOWN you pessimistic geese!

We could set another record by moving into the eight with the lowest % ever. :hihi

how crazy is that? we still have the worst % in the league despite being 4-4

I don't reckon even the most optomistic supporter(maybe Rosy ;)) would have us 4-4.
Awesome effort by this undermanned young side, headed by the best coach this club has has in so long it's not funny.
The future looks very bright indeed. 8)

couldn't agree more.

I suspect Simmonds would be topping the B&F at this stage.

i agree.

imho, we cannot make the 8.

4-4 and looking good!

We're nowhere near "back in town" bftg. Not even the outskirts of town I wouldn't have thought.

We're probably around the Horsham area at the moment!! ;D ;D

Got a long way to go before we're anywhere near town.

Kangaroos (I think we play them at the MCG, its too early to look) - They are having a dreadful season, but pumped us around the same time last year....and they will find some excuse to get over us, like someones last game etc

MT.

That was @ Telstra Dome, and we kicked 10.20 ...

For those that cannot see a light at the end of the tunnel, do you think that even if Frawley had the football smarts to implement a game plan like Saturdays would the players have had the ability to execute the plan well enough to win? Also take into account the injuries that are currently affecting the side. There were at least 5 regular senior selections out on Saturday and that's a fair chunk in any side, let alone a young developing one like the Tigers.

Okay I'll play the part of dissenter here. I believe % does matter as an indicator of over all class. Richmond are still developing as a potent force. I'll take any win but lets not delude ourselves re finals prospects. If (as I hope) we scrape in to the 8 it will be a learning experience for us, nothing more.

We'll know we've arrived when we start flogging sides. I hope this happens sooner than later but I'm not holding my breath. In the mean time it's great to see the young guys develop.

:gotigers

The most sensible post on this thread.

I know the 'finals' word has raised its head on this thread, but if we are lucky, things go our way, and we do get a path into the finals this year, it wouldn't do us any harm at all. I'm not saying we'll go all the way, but purely the experience will do us good, and no quality draft pick can teach us that.

This is true....but the prospect of picking up one of the gun KPP in this years draft will be much talked about and in a couple o f years could be the difference.

You will be pleasantly surprised!

Absolutely 8ball, but from here on in it's got be, Wagons Hoooooo, all the way in the top 8 of the ladder. Our chances of getting a quality pick (not like the bottom 4) are getting slimmer every time we win a game.

Correct weight GeoffreyPettyBoy,there's no gain to cop floggings each week to develop our young side.
Winning is the culture they need along with experience, and getting flayed in order to hope we pick a kid at 1-4 who may not be a guaranteed star (via injury or lack of progression to this level) rather than instilling belief via hard earned wins is more important IMO.
Give me finals footy and picks 10-16 from now on.
However,I don't believe we are anywhere near it just yet.

from what ive seen we are definately still bottom 4 or 6.

i thought that prior to round 1, but i'm not so sure now. i expect us to get better as the season progresses.
