While I am quietly confidant we can give the Saints a nudge on Saturday, there is every chance it could get ugly. If so, it could be time to throw things around and find out where a few players are at in a few different positions. My ideas;

Kellaway - CHF, no tougher player on the team, takes a great grab and seems to be more reliable in front of goal than many of our forwards?

Pettifer - Ruck Rover, has on a few occasions gathered 10 or so possessions in a quarter, and knows what to do with it, our midfield could do with some quality disposal?

Tuck - CHB, can be unaccountable at times but has the body to cause some damage?

Raines/Meyer - Rover, both guys move so well and use the ball well, see what they are made of in the thick of things?

Any other ideas?
???

Have Deledio do a couple of surprise kick-ins. In a set play, he belts a 60 m torpedo that clears the opposition defensive zone, rolls into the open paddock, and is collected by an unmarked speedster waiting out near a wing.

(If it comes off the side of his boot, he is dragged and coach takes no responsibility.)

Pettifer - Ruck Rover, has on a few occasions gathered 10 or so possessions in a quarter, and knows what to do with it, our midfield could do with some quality disposal? Hmmm not sure he's accountable enough, but worth a try.

Tuck - CHB, can be unaccountable at times but has the body to cause some damage? Not at this stage, Riewoldt would kill him I think. But interesting thinking.

Raines/Meyer - Rover, both guys move so well and use the ball well, see what they are made of in the thick of things? Raines, Meyer and Tambling all need a taste of more time on the ball.

Maybe Raines or J Bowden to have a stint in the forward line, a change could be good at this stage of the season.

Give Tambling and Deledio run in the back half to develop their defensive skills.

Play Richo off a wing and out of the traffic to free up Schulz.
