Now reported that during the Morton spray Wallace said he had cost him his coaching career. If true thats a very "club first" example to be setting the players.

If that is true (and I for one would need further corroboration to believe it - it's just too appalling for words) it would confirm all our worst suspicions about this man particularly over the last few years. The topping up and recycling, the persistence of elderly players on our list that have nothing to give in the long term but if fit and firing might just give enough for a Wallet contract extension. And of course his penchant for blaming others for the clubs predictament and taking minimal responsibility himself. Basically the general accusation since the 'winning' the 2007 spoon that it's been more about saving his overpriced neck than about the long-term interests of the club. Again if it's true (would need further proof) the sooner he leaves the better.
If its true regarding the Morton spray, then so be it.
Players should accept it and get on with winning. Some home truths need to be said to the whole list.
Unfortunately for Wallace its all too late if he has finally changed his way from " softly, softly" approach to this group or giving them a "spray" like he use to do when he coached the Dogs.
The players have to realise some home truths. We are in the business of winning games and premierships. If they consider themselves too precious, then leave.

Ian4, that's what the HUN is saying, but The Age was more general, with TW saying that could cost people their careers - couldve been talking about Morton's career. However, still could be construed to mean Wallace's career, which would be pretty disgraceful.

Unless you are a current senion player, I'm not sure how you can know what Terry is like behind closed doors. Just because he rolls out the positive spin at a press conference doesn't mean he's like that all the time. Even Ben Cousins on Nova agreed earlier this year with reports that Terry's post match review of a game contained "brutality".rockstar_tiger said:
The thing that disappoints me most about this story is that I would expect the coach not to have the same perspective as the ferals. How is Mitch to blame when Tredrea kicked 6 including the winning score and the match saving mark all while playing on Bowden, who the tanned genius moved onto him after the first quarter and left him there all day?! Take a bloody hard look in the mirror Terry ya flog!
