What did we learn from yesterday's game?

That some of these kids already have a great pride and feeling towards the jumper!

Tambling kicks four in a quarter. Apart from Brown ( a superstar) no one has done this too much recently for Richmond. In the appropriate match, Tambling could break matches open. Finally some players like Krakouer the writing is not only the wall but being read by coaches. My only fear now is that we cop a 100 point belting like last year and we go really south.

That Robert Harvey is the perfect example of why "footballers" will always be better than "athletes" at this magnificent game of ours. The man is 35 years old, but he knows exactly where to run to get the ball and exactly what to do with it when he gets it.

Recruit guys who can get it and use it effectively - not those who can run the 100m in 10.5 secs.

We need footballers - not athletes.

In today's game where man on man is seldom played, you have to look at possessions earned either non contested or contested. When I see a guy get less than 5 possessions a match he is as much a spectator as the rest of us. On this basis we can also judge say the Bowden brothers of last year getting and receiving lots of uncontested possessions. For me players like Krakouer, *smile*, HALL, Gaspar for years, Pettifer this year, will always be under the microscope as under contributers. Always play guys who can firstly get a kick then measure the effectiveness of how and what they do with it. That's why I will always prefer a Foley to a Krakouer

I'd prefer a Richard Lounder to Krappa...
