With all the hype since their premiership win, I wonder what that special category of Geelong “fans” are doing now? You remember the type – they were the ones clogging the talk back last year and even early this season and
- bagging their teams pathetic performances
- criticising the lack of passion
- saying that there was no hope in sight
- wanting the coach sacked immediately
- calling their own players “duds”
- saying how fed up they were
- threatening to tear up their memberships
- refusing to renew memberships
In other words – they were Geelong’s equivalent of our darksiders.
Anyway – how would they feel now? Would they have maintained their principles and refused to join in the celebrations? Or maybe they’ve quickly forgotten all their darksiding quickly got back on the bandwagon.
Still – they must seem pretty bloody silly right now.
