What do we need to do to beat Geelong?

we need to play our best and they hav to bring on there average if we are to have a show. If they play better than there average we wont be able to get over them. Obv hav too run them ragged and at no stage go into our shells like what so often seems to happen in the 3rd quarters of our games.

as long as we stick with them we have a chance.....cant be blown away from the first bounce..

as for chris newman,..i think he knows he had an ordinary game last night as his disposal is normally effective...an "off" game in a winning team is not such a bad thing...:) i am sure he will be back to his deadly accuracy next week...:)

woo hooo tiges...:):)

gonna be a tough one to watch next week, i think i'll tape it and watch it later

What do we need to do to beat Geelong?

Pray.

Pray that Ablett doesn't come up for it.

Pray that Ottens' gammy hammy rules him out.

Pray Chapman is out.

Pray we play a third quarter.

Pray we play a 1st, 2nd and 4th as well.

Convince Geelong that allowing us to win could end up knocking the Pies, the only team they must fear, out of the finals.

get mary mckillops saint hood rushed through the Vatican and hold a world youth day rally pre-game praying for holy intervention batman.

Hawkers may not have got the chocolates, but they came bloody close!

We need to WANT to win!

Pure and simple! With the effort that they boys showed last time for 3 quarters when they outscored the Cats they can win f they WANT it badly enough. They can sustain 4 quarters of footy and they will win. The belief they showed in each otehr after the game was awesome. They now believe they belong and believe they can!

We realistically have very little if not no chance of beating Geelong.

What I personally want to see is a competitve performance and continued improvment

Geelong at the moment are at there peak and have a ruthless edge which means they wont allow us a sniff unfortunatley.

Hope im wrong

Do what Carlscum did to us in the 1972 Grand Final, buy off key players to 'take a dive'.

Spiking the Gatorade at 1/2 time might be beneficial as well

Tell George Bush that Geelong has weapons of mass destruction and that Osama Bin Ladin is hiding out at Kardinia Park

I would bring Polo back in as a back pocket/half back. This would allow Bowden to play up the field again making our forward line even more dangerous. He could also be an alternative tagger if Jackson doesn't work out. Edwards should be ommitted just because he is not physically ready to face Geelong. I know Wallace doesn;t like Polo but why not play him and up his trade value!

My team this week

McGaune Thursfield Polo

McMahon Moore Newman

Deledio Tuck Tambling

Schulz Riewoldt Bowden

Morton Richardson Brown

Rucks

Simmonds
Foley
Johnson

Bench

Pattison
Jackson
White
Cotchin

Where is boysfromtheG?

After all the upsets we have seen this weekend, anythings possible.
Cat's must be ripe for a loss after two very hard fought wins against genuine challengers the past fortnight.

Whilst I sure don't expect a victory against the top shelf Catters, I sure hope we give it everything we can and give ourselves a chance.

don't do what freo did to them , cats don't do that to their opposition which is great .
you have to try and slow their run down cause that is what they like to do in a game run fast over lap their players [you have seen us do it they refined what we do when we do it well ]

Living in Geelong,I just love those bollards and witches hats everytime I go over the Westgate. What we need is Vics Roads to make sure that the Cat's bus is held up by at least an hour, just to make their player's very lethargic. ;)
