Was thinking this morning, what do continual close losses do to young players heads? Watching some of our players absolutely devastated last night, does it make a win all the more sweeter when it happens?
Does it bond them closer together as a group? Sharing in devastation and then absolute jubilation when they eventually win. Does it make them more determined, or does it damage them beyond repair, so that they get losers mentality?Do players get down on each other and point the finger at each other for mistakes?
Made me think of Max H, from the saints when they couldn't crack it for a win, and they got so close that time, and there was much publicity about him walking off the ground in tears. St Kilda eventually turned it around the next year, but does it hurt you in the long run. Would be interested in other peoples thought who have been involved in sporting clubs.
