After a few games as caretaker coach, and watching the games, albeit on TV, being away on hols., I am wondering what, if anything has changed in respect of our game plan....and I use the term loosely??
Tell me what other team plays ring a ring a rosy with the ball in the backline with handball?? No team that I can see, why why do the Tigers persist in this type of footy? Invariably it leads to a turnover and then of course a goal to the oppo. Also most teams after a point has been scored against them kick the ball in very quickly to a team mate. What do we do? Wait for ages and then kick to a contest. Not being the best high marking team going around, more often than not we lose the ball either to a mark or spillage.
I thought our new caretaker coach would address these matters, but so far, all I can see is giving some kids a go, but no change to the so called game plan. Am I right or wrong here, seeing I am only watching on the box not at the game for the present??
