What has happened to Joel Bowden?

Joel Bowden let Paul Medhurst murder us today ............... pure and simple fact .......... self imposed punishment of the highest order required.

Yep. You know you are having a bad day when Paul Medhurst plays well. :help

Criticising a player's game is fine, but lashing out at players personally over the internet is sad and pathetic. You can take it whatever way you like.

I wouldn't know him personally from a bar of soap, just as he wouldn't know me. He may possess admirable qualities as a human being which he and those who know him can be proud of. If so, good luck to him. BUT, on this forum, and as a platinum memebr of this ******* club, I will vent my anger at a player who drops his head in a contest, who continually puts team mates under pressure so as HE does not make the mistake, etc, etc,etc.........By the way, he's not the only culprit.

Good for you, you do that. Like I said, vent your anger.

Medhurst has had a great year so far...........Been superb in all 3 games so far this season.

Been very unlike him to do so. But hey, it is early in the year.

Medhurst was also very good at the end of last year. Much improved. Has become what Nathan Brown used to be and what we hoped Pettifer would become.

I question if he is liking his time here.

Is he enjoying the game anymore?

I wonder what his relationship with Wallace is like?

For a long time I think TW's game plan has been way to complicated for this team. Joel is probably one of the few who understands it and can deliver it. I reckon hes just getting more and more frustrated under Wallace as time goes on.

Good post. Agree with your thoughts U2.
Something's up because Joel's dropped below his normally excellent and consistent level.

Then again could be as simple as he's getting older.

Or he's playing a different role this year, one that doesn't suit him.

the bloke hasnt changed one iota...just that some have been hoodwinked.
Here here, I don't understand all the surprise on how he has been going, I've have never seen him play any different, he has always been soft, unaccountable and his skills are poor under pressure, I'm not making this up, it's the cold hard facts, anyone who can't see this, is seriously deluded and deserves the tripe they are being served by the club, he doesn't beat talls, he doesn't beat smalls, he doesn't win one on one contests against old players, he doesn't beat rookies, he won't stand and take one for the team, when he kicks out from full back, he kicks to himself and kicks the ball straight away often putting a team mate under pressure, that way he gets a stat for it, I've seen him do this sometimes 8 times in a game, and his so called silky skills go out the window come game day, one day all supporters even the friends of Joel club will say "Why the hell did we keep that uninspiring dud for so long"

Bowden is still the same player. Much depends on how he is used.

Untradeable because no one would want him!!!!!

Like, Richo, Johnson, Simmonds and Nathan Brown, too old with the game passing them by.
Time to play fresh meat and not hang onto yesterdays heroes!!!

Good enough!

Just not hard at it - Always has been like that, always will be like that! That's the biggest disapointment re Joel. :'(
