Like your summation Craig - way to go mate!

I am also looking forward to Browny, Simmonds and Coghlan getting back to near their best individually - plus helping our more gifted kids learn the game at AFL level.

Plus I am looking forward to Pettifer kicking a bag of goals from the forward flank after being fed the ball by the sublime left boot of Tivendale's off the wing. That'll bring a lot of warmth to many a Tiger heart during the deep cold months of July and August.

(sorry Craig just couldn't help myself..........bad habits.....bad habits) :hihi

Anyone can list the names of new RFC players who have yet to show any true taint of the last 27 + years of poor performances, afterall they're only pups.

You mean cubs? ;)

1. Watching our young players develop into the core of a successful Richmond team for the next 5-7 years - Thursfield, Tambling, Delidio, Pattison, Foley, Connors, Edwards etc.
2. Watching our recruits to hopefully see as many as possible become high quality AFL players - Cotchin, Rance, Putt etc
3. Watching the return of Coughlan, Brown and Simmonds - if all three stay fit, 10-12 wins are possible.
4. Hopefully watching Richo benefit from 1,2 & 3 above and stay true to one kicking routine/tecnique when shooting for goal - 60-70 goals should be his target if he stays injury free.
5. Seeing which player emerges to become the next leader - I'm assuming this will be Johnson's last season in this role. Unless he has a better season, it may be that he will retire at the end of 2008
6. Seeing an improved coaching performance during 2008 - no more playing Polak as a loose man across half-back, a more direct game style, a better structured forward line, greater intensity when the team does not have the ball, better defensive skils and most of all an improvement in disposal especially by foot.
7. Ongoing off field football related improvements to assure all members that the areas of recruiting and player development will rival the best in the competition.
8. No more media crap from coaches or officials - time to shut up, inspire performance and regain the proud reputation of the club by results.

In general, I'm looking forward to an improved 2008. Injuries permitting, 10-12 wins should be a realistic target including better performances against the top four sides. It's time we all started lifting our expectations.

You are a star craig lambert!
I was just about to bag you for leaving Axel, Lids & Bling off the list, then sure enough scan down a bit and there they are!
Another excellent post by one of the main gurus around here!
Agree,Craig is a quality poster

I hope the players and coaching staff dont forget 07.

Big year for all involved at Tigerland, the media already have the Tiges and the Dogs along with their coaches predominately pegged for favourites for assasination should things go awry for these sides.
