I think it's good to see at last that it's hard to put down our best 22?
The guys who didn't play last week due to form or injury
Coughlan
Newman
Hartigan
Thursfield
Knobal
Chaffey
Stafford
Hughes
Humm
Meyer
Jackson
Rodan
Roach
Moore
Hall
So what is our best team not excluding the injured?

Something like this perhaps...

Kellaway   Thurstfield    Raines

Nemwan    J.Bowden   P.Bowden

Hyde         Coughlan     Deledio

Petiffer      Richardson  Tambling

Brown         Schulz        Krakouer

R: Simmonds, Johnson,Tuck

Int: Polo,Foley,Pattison, Jackson (i am his president  ;) )

Emg: White, Hughes, Meyer

Watch out 8ball, all the Krak abusers/supporters are gonna be all over you for including him in our 'best' team... ;)

I'd only disagree with Jackson...but I won't hold that against you, being his prez and all... :P

The concept of best team is gone.

The team is based on the match ups of who you are playing.

Again I'd agree, bar Jacko of course. Would go for one of the emergencies. Good thing is that players whoi are now taking place of Thursty, Cogs and Newman, namely White, Meyer, Tiv and Gas are doing OK and earning their spots. By next year you would expect JON, Casserley and Hughes to put their hands up for a regular spot.

Spot on Scoop.

Agreed but your best 22 from week to week wouldn't change much from your best 'paper" 22 or 25. the changes would be minimal say extra legs against bulldogs or perhaps more talls if you tried to exploit them. Maybe extra defensive tall or stopper if they have lots of power forwards - ie Brisbane, Port at full strength, St Kilda. Smaller if its wet, taller at Dome maybe? so a core of 20 of the best 22 should always play (if available) -also the concept is fluid - Few would have had Raines, Polo or Foley as core members of the team this year or Tuck or Pettifer last year. Its terrofic that we are building a good squad. Even players on the fringe such as Jackson and Hartigan can add value to the team when selected.

I think that's how Terry is coaching at the moment. We're still below the radar, only just, and we're winning games by nullifying arguable better opponents.

Give it a couple of years when we're at the top, we'll be sticking to our strongest gameplan and it will be the other teams who concentrate first on nullifying us and picking a team accordingly.

I don't see Adelaide picking their teams based on the opposition matchup too often these days.

Yeah close. Krakouer would be fighting for fourth int and Jacko right now is on the nose.
White and Meyer in
