With this week being Heritage Round (again) can anyone tell me what the guernsey we'll be wearing against the Swans looks like? I can't find it anywhere!

I believe this is one idea the club is toying with? Will make a handy clash strip also.

Not much to say about our jumper but its a reminder about what an absolute shocker that Brisbane Bears jumper was and whoever designed that port jumper must have been playing a joke on the club designing that dogs brekkie.
Love the old Dees jumper though.

Yeah very similar if not the same as the one we wore last year - cheers interested.  :thumbsup
It is the same..not a lot of thought put into this one.

I've just had a look at all the jumpers and I've gotta say my first impression was how incredibly boring they all are. There are a few that are remotely interesting (like Adelaide's and Melbourne's with the royal blue instead of navy) but apart from that most of them are very similar to what they are now (except for Fremantle's which they've already worn in Heritage Round anyway). And what a disgrace the Brisbane Lions' jumper is - I know the theme is 80s but I think they should wear some version of the Fitzroy jumper in every Heritage Round (besides which Fitzroy still existed in the 80s in any case). Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the fourth time they've had Heritage Round and from memory three times the "Brisbane Lions" have worn old Brisbane Bears jumpers (the other two being the reverse of the one they're wearing this week with mainly yellow and that horrible maroon one with the yellow 'V'). Surely for every person who had a deep emotional connection with the Brisbane Bears there'd be about 1000 who had a deep emotional connection to Fitzroy!

wasn't the shocking original brisbane bears jumper the reverse of the one they're wearing this week? (mainly yellow)

Different strokes for different folks, but boring is good IMO. I don't want to see a Fashions on the Field contest at the football.

If you look at the stats page on the official AFL website, Brisbane stats are separate from Fitzroy, e.g. career matches (unlike Sydney/South Melbourne). It says something that the AFL considers them to be separate entities. I'm not sure that Brisbane have embraced their Fitzroy heritage as fully as they should have for a so-called 'merger', e.g. I haven't heard anyone from Brisbane claiming "We have won 11 flags." Possibly with the passing of time, history may be rewritten and the two clubs considered one and the same.

The pretend laces are a bit much, but I do prefer the darker yellow. I remember when we changed the yellow of our sash and I wondered why we did it back then.
