what position should brett deledio play in 2008

Primarily ruck-rover with a spell down forward. No more off the half back line - must learn how to cope with tags in the midfield. Needs to win a little more of his own ball and gut-run. Has all the attributes to be one of the game's next superstars.

Thats right my apologies I forgot a half back can not kick to a forward an HFF most certainly not kick to another forward.

Well if I take out Cogs an Tuck plus Axe because he's been an tagged out of it an if I also take out Cotchin because he is too young an I better forget any of the other rotations because they might be rotating, actually we cant have Connors in there because he has a bad attitude an stress farctures so forget him an Edwards footy smarts wont be able to protect his light body an theres no way Collo will ever get above 75kgs so he cant play there either.

Wonder what Timmy Flemmings up to

most of those guys arent ready to be playing on the ball yet, deledio on the other hand is

down the track if we can have lids up forward because our midfield is dominating then it will be a luxury but atm we need our best players in the action

Exactly Tigers. He needs to get a few tapes of Jimmy Hird and check out how he does it in the middle then goes forward for a rest and is just as damaging popping up with a couple of inspirational goals

That'll do for me too holdenPremier. Lids will be something to watch in the future ;)

i find it incredible to believe that people have labelled lids as someone who cant shake off a tag. just go back to 2006, when everyone was louding ryan griffin... some so called experts were saying he's a better player than lids. if you check the stats, lids had more marks, disposals and goals than griffin, but lids copped a hard tag every week and griffin played unaccountable rebounding footy off half back...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder Ian. I'm with you, I'll be backing Lids

First off I'm an un-ashamed Lids fan. :cupgold
I hope he will one day captain the side (for a sustained period).

I think his apparent pace is a manifestation of his ability to read the game and get into the right spots and sum up what's happening down field more than blistering acceleration. I think his skill is something we badly need, for that reason I see him in the mid-field - maybe wing - delivering the ball laces out to the forwards. I think if Brown gets back to his best, you rest Lids forward when Browny pushes up into the middle.

I could not agree more. KB was the only judge on the Rising Star voting panel that year not to give Griffin the 4 votes (from memory he only gave Griffin one) behind Lids' 5 votes. I seem to recall that there where whispers about bias in the way KB awarded his votes, that is, that he wanted to make sure Griffin didn't win the award ahead of a Tiger.

I'd say the evidence suggests that KB got it right. I wish I could remember who he gave the other votes to because right now I would suggest they are all doing better than Ryan is. I know he is only young and has been injured, but I think that people are over-rating Griffin's potential.

I think he gave Adcock (bris) the chocolates.

5 - Deledio,
4 - Adcock,
3- McLean,
2 - Lewis,
1 - Mundy.
