What the hell is on Lids head!

Hmmm, if he really has shaved it off, perhaps he saw just how bad it was while he was watching the replay of the Scum game. I think he looked mighty palatable when he did the top gun flight trick... I think it was about a no.2 or 3 buzzcut and much lighter. Bring it back Lids and make an old girl happy :-*

Too much self adoration amongst these young blokes at Tigerland geez it wouldnt be on if T Shirt Tommy was down there.

thank god he's cut it off, we cant have players who show abit of individuality and character, its just not right.

welcome back to redneckville lids :clap YEEEEHAAR !!! ;D

If taping a dead cat to your head is individuality and character, lids had it in spades. It's gone now though.

I read this entire thread just to see if anyone had thought of that resemblance and then what do I read in the last post?

FWIW I was subbied by L'Oreal to design that do or Lids. I like to call it Roadkill Rug.

You sure it didn't just run away? ;D

It's obviously dead, Oldster. Might have been picked up by the council. (Style Council?)

Looks like he did it himself with a whipper snipper.

Now that would be individual. And fully punk. (See that's why everyone hates emos. They're all like cutting themselves with paper-scissors. And Valley voice wit.)

I reckon if Lids wants to be an individual he can do this whippersnipper hair thing and then pierce his eyebrow with a motor mower, a kind of horror parody of our chief drafting criterion. Anyway, after he's pierced the eyebrow he should leave the mower in. And running. Scary stuff.

And as for the outrageous idea that the thoroughly modern youths of today have (after a million years of it being miraculously overlooked) brilliantly contrived to appall old people with hilarious haircuts I say what next? Sex?

Firstly is homephobic a fear of homes?

Secondly, if Lids hair-do is cutting edge and cool, and the PRE world is a bunch of crusty old toads living in the past, what does this have to do with no liking homosexuals? It just means PRE is full of people with no idea about what is cool today.

Thirdly, if it is not a cool cut, and is indeed just a bad one, why is it homophobic not to like it? Some people like long hair, others short, and so on. If we all had the same tastes life would be pretty dull and uninteresting.

Finally, what has homophobia got to do with any of this issue? Most posters who didn't like the hair on non-fashion grounds have done so on the basis that it may be a sign Lids is getting ahead of himself, caring more about how he looks on the field rather than making sure his performance looks good first. I actually disagree with this argument, but its not a homophobic argument to make. Its one about being too cocky, and we had a case at our club last year with Polo and the infamous leopard spots.

Yeah and I guess if Lids had played a rabid defensive game wearing the dead skunk in the middle of the road we'd have said how it pays to put it on the line with extravagant dos.

But his game, although pretty effective, was demure. The game has to be louder than the hair.

Personally I'd have given it block of four games before tapering.

At the end of the day its just hair. I guess some just think its too "styled" for an afl footballer. I say whatever makes him comfortable is fine with me. Obviously the hair was getting to him so he cut it off.

I'm not sensationalising it, I'm de-sensationalising it if anything. Lids can have his hair anyway he wants. If he wants it to look like a dead cat taped to his head, he surely succeeded last week - kudos to him.

I do often like to stay out late.
